Business Analyst 

The Business Analyst works with various groups to gather and examine information to make informed conclusions.  Among other duties, the business analyst acts as a facilitator within the financial institution to make internal departments more efficient by leading the project team in activities including, but not limited to, documenting business processes and requirements, verifying requirements, and developing training materials. The candidate should have sharp critical-thinking skills, be flexible, highly adaptable and an excellent team player.


  • Develops business case and requirements by conducting interviews and performing analysis to determine business need and requirements, and develop solutions.
  • Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Conducts thorough research to determine process inefficiencies, seeks solutions and makes recommendations to improve processes.
  • Understands business issues and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspect of project and scope to ensure high quality results within defined time and budget schedules.
  • Communicate project status, issues, changes, enhancements, and modifications through written documentation to project stakeholders in such a manner that issues and solutions may be understood.
  • Conducts thorough research to justify product recommendations to support purchasing efforts.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • Demonstrated ability to become a quick study by grasping the essence and underlying structure of unfamiliar processes and systems.
  • The ability to successfully apply research methods into system issues and products.
  • Thorough knowledge of business analysis and project management functions and related requirements and procedures.
  • Above average organizational and communications skills with ability to communicate with end users with various levels of computer skills.

Physical and Mental Qualifications:

  • Ability to understand, and use financial institution policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to communicate positively and effectively one-on-one and in small group meetings or presentations.
  • Ability to understand and/or convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately and quickly if necessary.
  • Ability to think and act independently within guidelines and limitations of financial institution policy and assigned personal authority.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5-7 years general related experience.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance/quality control, process improvement, and business requirements documentation concepts is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint.
  • Must be bondable.
  • Knowledge of Fiserv technology solutions
